Greenacres Dress Code Policy
 
The club has established three levels of dress code for the clubhouse:

Sports and Shorts 
This is our “everyday” dress code and is in effect for all lunches and Wednesday,
Thursday and Sunday dinners. 
  • Country Club appropriate dress shorts and dress jeans free of rips and holes are permitted.
  • Collared shirts, mock turtlenecks and country club appropriate dress non-collared shirts with sleeves for men are permitted.
  • Proper golf attire and tennis attire as defined in the sections below is permitted.
  • No cutoffs or short-shorts are permitted.
  • No basketball, sweat clothes or other similar gym, yoga or workout type clothing is permitted.
  • No T-Shirts with slogans or caricature are permitted.
  • No swimwear is permitted. Men may not wear tank tops.

Casual
This has a few more limitations than the Sports and Shorts category and is in effect for Friday dinner and at other designated events.
  • Country Club appropriate dress shorts and dress jeans free of rips and holes are permitted.
  • Collared shirts, mock turtlenecks and country club appropriate dress non-collared shirts with sleeves for men are permitted.
  • No cutoffs or short-shorts are permitted.
  • No basketball, sweat clothes or other similar gym, yoga or workout type clothing is permitted.
  • No T-Shirts with slogans or caricature are permitted. No swimwear is permitted. Men may not wear tank tops.

Country Club Casual 
This is a bit more upscale than the other categories.  It will be in effect for designated events.
  • Slacks or Khakis are required for men.
  • Collared Shirts or mock turtle necks are required.
  • No jeans or shorts of any type are permitted.
  • No basketball, sweat clothes or other similar gym, yoga or workout type clothing is permitted.
  • No T-shirts or tank tops of any type are permitted for men. Women may wear country club appropriate dress T-shirts, tank tops, halter tops, sun dresses, etc.
  • No sports or swimwear is permitted.

Children’s Attire 
Until the year that a child turns 12 years of age (the same age as the club’s rule permitting them to use club facilities without parental supervision), all children of members and guests shall be dressed age-appropriately taking into consideration the specific time and events that the child will be participating in at the club. However, if a child is on the golf course or driving range, or on the tennis courts, then the club’s adult dress code will apply.


Golf Attire
Proper golf attire is expected on our golf course, practice range and putting green at all times.
  • Proper attire includes collared shirts or mock turtlenecks and slacks, Khakis or Bermuda length shorts for men. 
  • Shirts must be tucked in and hats must be worn with the bill forward.
  • Women may wear shirts without a collar and do not have to tuck in their shirts (in keeping with current styles).
  • Attire must be neat and proper at all times. 
  • Under no circumstances are the following allowed: swimwear, gym, yoga, sweat clothes or workout attire, basketball attire, tennis attire, jeans, men’s tank tops, T-shirts, cargo shorts, cut-offs or short-shorts.
  • Acceptable golf shoes or smooth, flat soled tennis shoes are required at all times. Bare feet are not allowed.

Tennis Attire
Proper tennis attire must be worn at all times.
  • Collared shirts, mock turtlenecks and tennis appropriate non-collared shirts with sleeves for men are permitted.
  • Men may not wear tank tops.
  • Shirts may not be removed.
  • Country club appropriate tennis shorts are permitted.
  • No jeans, cargo shorts, cutoffs or short-shorts are permitted.
  • No golf attire, basketball clothes or similar gym, yoga, sweat clothes or workout type clothing is permitted.
  • No swimwear is permitted.
  • No T-Shirts with slogans or caricature are permitted.
  • Tennis shoes or sneakers with smooth, flat soles are the only type of footwear permitted on the courts.  The soles of all footwear must be white or light-colored or specifically designed dark-soled tennis footwear which will not mark up the courts.

General Requirements
  • Hats or visors may not be worn on the upper level of the clubhouse at any time.  This applies to both men and women. 
  • Shirts must be tucked in unless they were designed to be worn untucked in keeping with current styles.
  • When walking from the parking lot or the locker rooms to the pool, girls and women must wear cover-ups and men and boys must wear shirts.
  • Cover-ups for women and shirts for men must be worn at the tennis courts when coming from the pool.

All Members are responsible for the attire of their Guests.
